Reflection: Notes on the 2022 A-Z Challenge

laptop drawing
Here are some of thoughts on the 2022 A-Z Challenge that I've just finished.

01 - I didn't sign up on the Master list. So technically, I'm not an official participant but I did signed up on the Theme list so maybe only half-official? I don't care anymore. Being on a long list seems superfluous.

02 - I think I spent far too much time coming up with ideas/writing/editing/making graphics/art for these posts. It's a bit exhausting and I don't think I was in the mood to write a new post every day. If we didn't get Sunday's off, I might have quitted the challenge.

03 - Somehow I just didn't have the patience to always leave comments even when I read a post. I have no idea where my patience went. I was just plain lazy. Maybe I'll catch up with comments later with the Roadtrip at the A-Z blog.

04 - Will I do this challenge next year? I'm thinking no for now. I don't think I have the energy anymore and my fickle mind won't really allow me to plan these posts.

05 - I did enjoyed the challenge when I'm not stressing/worrying about what to post. A-Z is a good challenge but I think I'm more of a post-once-in-a-while-kind of blogger.

Here is the list of my A-Z 2022 posts:

Have you participated in the A-Z Challenge this year and did you enjoyed it? Or if you're simply a reader, did you enjoy my A-Z posts?

    1. Moondustwriter: You're right. I say no to the challenge now for next year but I'm a bit fickle so I might change my mind when the time comes.

  4. I think I'd have trouble keeping up with it. Especially of late when my own posting has been sporadic., I think you did great though!

    1. Greg: I guess posting every day is not for everyone. I'm also a bit sporadic about posting but somehow got the energy to finish the challenge. Thank you for your kind words.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  5. Congrats on finishing the challenge -- even if you weren't on the master list. Being on the master list is how most people find new blogs -- I know it's how I decided who to visit again.

  6. I found you on the reflections list. It looks like you had a successful A to Z, even without being on the main list. Congrats on completing.

  7. Congratulations on completing this year!
I have participated in many years, though not always in a row. There is a rush to make comments on everyone's blogs and sometimes it gets to be a lot all at once.

Hope to see you again next year.

    1. Timothy S. Brannan: I guess you either rush to comment or you take your time. I like to comment but I didn't have the patience.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  8. I love that you were so completely honest about not taking time to comment. Too many people comment with random generic stuff and don't even take the time to actually read the post. I get what you say about patience...my is lost somewhere and I can't find it. If you find yours would you let me know where so I can look and see if mine is there too. Oh and congratulations on completing. That does deserve a pat on the back.

  9. I'm glad you mentioned that you hadn't signed up on the master list because I didn't remember seeing the name of your blog there. I had tried to visit all of the blogs on it at least once. There were some blogs that wrote things that didn't interest me so I just looked at what was written and moved on to the next. Congrats that you did finish the challenge! It can be daunting to post 6 days a week! I'm pretty sure I won't be doing the challenge next year but did enjoy this year's challenge and I did pick up a few new blogs to read too :)

  10. I find it interesting that you did not sign up on the master list but signed up for the theme reveal and the theme reveal if being on long lists seems superfluous. I'm glad you enjoyed the challenge.

    1. Home School Dad: I like being on short lists but maybe I was being dumb by not signing onto the master list? Well, doesn't matter now. If I do join in next year, I might not bother with signing onto any lists to see if still get a visitor or not.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  11. On the master list or not, I enjoyed reading your posts. Especially the fiction pieces. Please join next year, and write all A to Z short fiction! ~Ria

    1. Ria: I have thought of writing all fiction for the challenge but it always sounds more work than writing random posts but maybe I'll all fiction next year if I decided to do the challenge.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  12. I'm sorry it wasn't as fun as you'd hoped. It sounds like you put a lot of work into your posts. My time was crunched this year, so I rarely even inserted a photo. I don't think I'd've survived if I spent too long on each one! I was visiting blogs from the master list, so missed yours, but congratulations - we both made it!

    1. Red: I think I spent too much time on each post so I didn't have the time to really enjoy the process and visiting people.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely day.
