Rain Girl's B-B Party 2022: Cat Hunt

Rain Girl's B-B Party 2022
Lovely guests, come over here and take a look at this picture. The woman here was one of my distance relatives who lived in a castle-like house full of turret yards where she resided with her cats. It was said that she was a princess once but none of us knew if that was true nor are we certain she wasn't a witch that turned people into cats if they trespassed her place without her approval. But let's not dwell on history. In this picture, can you find the cats that are (mostly) hidden? (Click on the image to view the larger version.)

Lovely Giveaway
Lovely Giveaway

Today, the 24th, is my actual birthday, so here's a giveaway. Three (3) winners will get to choose from one of these prizes:

Option 1: An original art/creation from me. Just give me a theme or an idea or something to draw but no portraits unless you want to take the chance. It will completely be digital so you'll get a high resolution file large enough to print or use it for any purposes but you may not sell it. Satisfaction with the art piece is not guaranteed and it may take a month to complete.

Option 2: A design for your blog such as a header or sidebar item or a design such as a logo or some graphic for something but know you will a digital file in the end.

Option 3: A book of your choice from Book Depository for 20 (U.S.) dollars or less.

To enter in this giveaway, simply leave a comment. Last day to leave a comment is January 31.

  1. I see several cats. One cat in a cage like thing the other above it. One on the swing where the princess/witch is sitting. One hidden in the leafs of the cherry blossom tree, one I think above the princess/witch. One hidden on a flower bot and one hidden on the wall.
And another has its tail curled around a table with books on it.

    Also happy birthday!

    1. Quinley: You are correct. The one the roof of the swing where the princess is a tricky one, I think so.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  2. I could see eight cats, but wondered whether some of the branches in the flowering tree were actually cat tails...

    1. Elephant's Child: There are nine cats but may missed the small one that is in the cage-like table with her mother. I haven't thought of the tree branches might be cat tails but hey, they could be...

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  4. Happy birthday Lissa! Lovely art as usual. I see:
    a cat into the tree
one in the basket behind the tree
one in front of the purple vase
    one under the book table
    one on the swing
one on the swing roof (nice!)
two on/in the little cage next to the woman
and lastly but not least, a cat head design on the pink salmon vase (but I had to zoom on the pic LOL).

"nor are we certain she wasn't a witch that turned people into cats if they trespassed her place without her approval."
I'm sure she must have been!

    1. Roberta: Actually, I don't count patterns on the flower pot (I don't call these vases but they can be) but you are right, those are cat head patterns.

Maybe some of these cats were once humans once...

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

    1. WendyW: I don't know much about cats as I don't own any but yes, they do like to hide, don't they?

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  6. How fun! I found several hidden cats, but honestly, I probably wouldn't have if you hadn't said anything. I'm glad you did :)

    Happy birthday, Lissa!

    1. Susan: Some of the cats are harder to make out so it's not a surprise you didn't see them at first.
