This February, I'm the host for Words for Wednesday. Words for Wednesday was started by Delores and now is hosted by various people on various blogs. The aim of Words for Wednesday is to encourage us to write using some or all of the prompts. This week's prompts are valentine-inspired words:
1 - love
2 - happiness
3 - chocolate
4 - single
5 - dinner
And/Or
6 - hate
7 - sadness
8 - lemon
9 - attached/double (can use either or both)
10 - breakfast
I have no idea what's the opposite of chocolate so I chose lemon because it's sour/bitter but if you can think of a better word, use that instead.
You may write your piece in the comments or post it on your blog. If posting on your blog, please leave a direct link to the post so we can all visit you. Have fun writing!

Greg: Maybe you'll write something? It's productive just to think about words, I say.

Good selection this week, I'll see what I can do and post something on Friday on my blog.
ReplyDeleteRiver: No hurry. Your Friday is actually my Thursday.
DeleteThank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.
Let's try this again as I put in the wrong link.
ReplyDeleteMy take on the prompts (although I didn't use two of the words): Fiction: Valentine's Day with Death and the Devil's grandchild.
Have a lovely day everyone.
Julie pouted, "I just HATE Valentine's Day. What is a SINGLE person to do?" Her SADNESS was overpowering when memories of past times with her beloved spouse filled her. They had been ATTACHED in all activities and celebrated everything together. Now Julie just sat around an looked like she was puckered up from eating an extra sour LEMON.
ReplyDeleteLOVE had not left her in any way but HAPPINESS was not the same. She laughed to recall how they used to duel over the last piece of CHOCOLATE. The duel was simply a routine act because he always gave up and made sure she won. Now a frozen DINNER was her celebratory BREAKFAST starting out another Valentine's Day.
Granny Annie: So sad for Julie but at least, she had been loved. Good use of the prompts.
DeleteThank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.
Thank youu for the words, Lissa. My rant is over here: WfW
ReplyDeleteCharlotte: Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.
