I'm using the Roman numerals numbers as it is often difficult to find a good x word to use for the challenge. Here are X (ten) reasons why I'm still blogging.
I - Blogging is a daily habit.
II - Sharing thoughts, ideas, creations and any odd or wonderful things.
III - I don't do social media so my blog is my social media.
IV - Finding (although rare) new blogs and bloggers.
V - For the laughs - so many blogs/bloggers are funny and they cheer me up.
VI - Learning new things but not just new words or new ideas but also how to deal with people who aren't quite nice.
VII - It's cheaper to blog than to go to therapy.
VIII - Saying things I might never say in person.
IX - Interactive with people I might never thought to meet or interact.
X - I like blogging.
What reason or reasons keep you blogging?

Jamie (jannghi.blogspot.com): Great use of X!
ReplyDeleteJamie: I think so too. Thank you for dropping by. Have a lovely day.
Delete9 and 10 are my main drivers. Also writing helps processing my thoughts and since many of my posts are journal-like, it's also kind of a memory collection.
ReplyDeleteTamara: I like that - memory collection. I sort of like to do that although I don't post a lot of my thoughts.
DeleteThank you for dropping by. Have a lovely day.
Clever way to do an "X" post! My reasons to keep blogging are similar to yours, but the most important reason is simply that I enjoy it. Once I don't enjoy it any more, I'll stop.
ReplyDeleteDebra: Same here. If one day I no longer enjoy blogging, I too, would probably quit.
DeleteThank you for dropping by. Have a lovely day.
I like blogging. That pretty much sums it up.
ReplyDeleteAl Penwasser: That is a gread reason.
DeleteThank you for dropping by. Have a lovely day.
All very valid and relatable reasons, though I particularly endorse 2, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10. In my case, there's the extra driver of being able to give my favourite books a spotlight (and to get the random ARC at times).
ReplyDeleteRoberta: I alos like to spotlight books, music, movies, shows, etc that I thought people should know about.
DeleteThank you for dropping by. Have a lovely day.
Good reasons, a habit for me too.
ReplyDeleteChristine: Some habits you don't want to break. Thank you for stopping by. Have a lovely day.
DeleteThere are a couple of main reasons that I keep blogging. One is keeping in contact with the blogging friends I have made over the years, and two, it gives me a place to record some of the things that are happening in my life. BTW, a clever way to do an X post.
ReplyDeleteLive and Learn: I like your reasons - I like the idea of keeping some record of my life - sometimes it's useful to look them over.
DeleteThank you for dropping by. Have a lovely day.
In the end, I like blogging too, and I enjoy interacting on blogs. I do a bit on IG, but I really have backed off the socials since 2020.
ReplyDeleteSamantha: I've tried IG - didn't like, quit it.
DeleteThank you for dropping by. Have a lovely day.
Good one. I'm on social media but I mostly blog and put the posts on there for my friends who don't follow blogs. ;)
ReplyDeleteMarianne: I had tried social media to keep up with people who don't blog but I just couldn't keep up so I quit doing that which I guess it's sad but that's that.
DeleteThank you for dropping by. Have a lovely day.
I post my "new month" posts and after ten or twelve books I post the list of those books. And then I answer those who have responded to it. That's that.
DeleteIf I do A to Z next year I might just steal your X workaround. Not sure I would come up with 10 reasons why I blog but I've blogged since 2009, so it must serve purposes for me. I hear you about blogs cheering you up. That's become so important recently.
ReplyDeleteAlana: I think using roman numerals is just the best idea for X. Some blogs really does cheer people up.
