I thought of choosing the words and not ask readers to choose anymore. There's just not enough time for voting since I write and post in the same day and there is only a few hours in between posts for voting. But I seem to have a need to follow things all the way through even though it is kind of failing. I know it's okay to not do anything I had planned but a part of my brain don't seem to want to. So I'll follow through and let readers choose the word. Maybe it's not good to set criteria during these challenges. I had thought I had a lot to ramble about but it seems my mind keeps blanking out or veering off topic.
If you're failing at something, do you follow through or quit?
For tomorrow, the letter G, the choices are (1) graphic design, (2) grumpy, (3) ginger. Choose which word I might ramble about or tell a story.

I hate quitting - yes, I'm stubborn. LOL!
ReplyDeleteDonna: Click for my 2025 A-Z Blog
Donna: I'm also stubborn, so why change?

I try to follow through
ReplyDeleteChristine: I guess it's better to try than to quit.

Jamie (jannghi.blogspot.com): I try hard not to give up, but not hard enough isn some instances.
ReplyDeleteJamie: Yes, sometimes you do have to quit.

It depends on if I care or not.
ReplyDeleteKristin: That is a factor - sometimes if you don't care, than why bother?

I try to follow through, for the most part. But at some point, if my perseverance doesn't pay off, I'll throw in the towel. No point being an idiot about things. For tomorrow's word, I vote for grumpy.
ReplyDeleteDebra: You're right, no point in being an idiot, some things aren't worth the time.

Some fails are best left failing. Case in point: I got the notion to make weavings with old cassette tape elements (yes, I have yet to toss them all). The warp (length) was going to be the paper insert from the box and the weft to be the actual tape material. Oh boy, was that ever difficult! Never finished the first one. Still haven't thrown it away. A fail souvenir, if you will. Maybe that's the art piece. "Unfinished Weaving Attempt"
ReplyDeleteGRUMPY!
DeleteAnne M Bray: That sounds like a creative way to weave. I had failed experiments still in my closet too. Maybe later, you can look at it and laugh or maybe get inspired to do it again but better.

I feel exactly like you do. Even if I know I don't have to, when I start something I want to finish it.
ReplyDeleteLive and Learn: Sometimes it must be finished, so I kept on.

It depends. Sometimes I follow through (I am stubborn). Other issues I decide are not worth the effort and walk away.
ReplyDeleteElephant's Child: Yes, it still depends on many things. I am stubborn too so maybe I might overdo when I don't need to. But some things are best to walk away from.
