Blogging from A-Z Challenge 2025

Blogging from A-Z Challenge 2025
I have done the Blogging from A-Z Challenge every April for almost as long it existed. I think this is a good challenge to sort of challenge a blogger's patience (by posting every day except Sundays for a whole month guided by the alphabets) and their perseverance because so many quit after the letter A. If you didn't plan ahead and wrote all 26 posts, it might seemed daunting to have to write them in a rush to post on time.
The challenge for me is to keep thinking and writing posts and sometimes a day ahead but most, I write a post the day before I post it. Yes, it would be easier and less stressful to plan ahead but I'm not one to plan anything ahead and even if did write all the posts, I would still end up changing many of them.
Usually I have no themes so it's random things that I hope entertains readers and maybe some fictions as I can't help but include some but I keep them short. This year, I'm thinking if I do the challenge, I would pick words and talk about whatever comes from those words. But I don't know. It's easier to say to do something than to actually do it. I'm still debating whether to do the challenge or not.
Anyway, I thought I repost the badges I made for the challenge this year. The theme for these badges is beginning or spring so that's why the little plant and the sun. (I've revised the winner's badge a tiny bit as the word winner wasn't quite balance in the first version.) These are alternatives and not the official badges. You may use these as you like. (Click on them for the large views so you can download.) (More about the challenge here.)

Do you plan on doing the Blogging From A-Z Challenge this April?

  1. Thank you for improving on and reposing your badges. If I participate, I am going to use them! I still o not know, I need an inspiration for a theme - or some themes, or even none, just some words. And I'd also like a fresh shot of energy.

    1. Charlotte: I can understand. There's a bit of lackluster or is it rustiness with the challenge? It's probably just me. I like to do it but I'm uncertain.

As for themes, there are many, I can't offer anything without feeling like I'm offering a dictionary. To even randomly pick a word or a theme, it's easy but to muster up the will to do it, is an entirely different thing.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  2. You've got a whole month to decide!

    1. Debra: That's true but time seems to go so fast these days.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  3. It would probably be a guide to this challenge.
    But maybe binding.
I would love to take part
but at the moment I am in a very difficult and uncertain phase of my life.
So I'll leave it for next year (hopefully we'll be fine here too), but I'll read you.
    Have a great day Lisa!

  4. I get it. It's tough to commit to something like the A-Z Challenge, especially when you're not a planner. I'm the same way. The idea of writing 26 posts in a month is a lot. But I like your idea of picking words and just seeing where they take you. That sounds more spontaneous.

    1. Lux G.: Even having done the challenge many times, it's still a big challenge. I'm still thinking.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  5. I've done the challenge 11 times. I've written ahead and written day by day. I prefer to write ahead, but if I do, I'll need to get started.
I do it mainly to get myself organized around some family history related topic and to write posts for a month. I'm thinking of writing more about my maternal grandmother, but also about writing up those things I haven't written up before, like my family in the censuses from 1870 to 1910. Or something.
I have found recent challenges to be lackluster. There's just not the excitement that there used to be. Or that I felt was there.

    1. Kristin: 11 times? You have participated more than me. I like the idea of writing ahead but I don't seem able to do that.

I think the challenge gets people to do writing, it's a good thing.

Yeah, I also found the challenge last year to be a bit lackluster. I don't know. Maybe it's because I have done it too much times? You've done it more times than me so who knows.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  6. I've been doing "Alphabet Authors" for a while now, one letter a week. I have reached M. I love your idea of doing them in one month though I guess that would be too much for me. However, I might pick up your idea of doing different topics next year. So, thanks for that.
