Scribtober 2025

Somehow I dedicated October as a month to draw something but I seemed to have skipped last year. The year before last, I had done Inktober. Inktober takes place every October in which artists try to draw with ink and also there was a theme list. This year, I started very late and not going to ink anything so I'm calling it Scribtober as in scribbling in October.
When I did Inktober, I had a theme. So this year I'm going with a theme - Accidently Here - but it might as well be multiplicity because there are a lot of multiples but I'm still coming up with ideas. There's only a few days left in October so I'll probably continue this to November. Some of these I added in color background to get them to show more as they are done in pencil which doesn't show well. I will maybe color them later when I have the time, right now is really all about drawing. Here are just a few that I had done. (Click on image for closeup.)

Have you been drawing or doing some creative endeavor?

  1. These were all quirky and funny (or sometimes disquieting - especially the cat one), but N°3 was my fave. The toilet paper ad cracked me up. I can't wait to see them (or some of them at least) in colour!

  2. I've been doing nothing artistically since early summer (i.e. June). My excuse is my cataracts surgery, plus not being able to drive to any classes. But in November, I've committed myself to drawing a self-portrait for a blog art challenge.

I love your Scribtober drawings! And all of them on the same theme, I'm impressed. My faves are the piled up mugs & cups with you (I assume) peeking out from behind, and the multicats plus you.

    1. Debra: This character in these drawings isn't me as I never put my image in my artwork but I guess it's a representation of me. I do go abou wearing hats, especially outside.

      I hope you'll enjoy your self-portrait challenge.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  3. I love these drawings. I like the first one and the fourth one, there is something whimsical about them which I love.

As for me, I have been doing a mixture of different prompts this October, some of Inktober's (since I did not have ideas for all of them) and Artfright. And I have a drawn a lot. :D

    1. Quinley: I like quirky or whimsical - it's more fun to draw.

I guess you've been drawing more than me. I wish I could be more productive like you.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

  6. I love your scribbles. Scribtober is a great idea. I always begin with InkTober, but it's too big, too artistic and the drawings too perfect for me to want to show off any of what I've made, so I stop. This year too. Which is bad, as I really like drawing, and it does wonders for my peace of mind.

    1. Charlotte: Don't like Inktober stop you. I think drawings and art and pretty much any creative endeavors don't need to be perfect. If you enjoy doing them, do it.

Thank you for coming by. Have a lovely day.

    2. I love good art as much as I love good literature. Or good music. I think they all go together. We all have different ways to talk to the world.
